'In de achtertuin' is the second single by Jack Poels, which is featured on his solo-album 'Blauwe Vear'. Jack explains the songs origin: "My son Jan went on a big trip for the first time in his life. He flew to South Korea for his studies with youthful enthusiasm in his eyes. He was ready to explore the world. We said goodbye on a warm summer evening in the backyard, the next day I walk through the house with a melancholy feeling: the old pictures on the wall, the empty bedroom, the toy guitar. I sing to him that it is good to stand on his own two feet. In the meantime, I just hope he will come back soon. Preferably tomorrow, back here in the backyard."
