De Toegift - Soms (Digital Single)

'Soms’ is a follow up of previous released ‘De woonwijk’ and is the second song leading up to upcoming EP ‘Nooit, misschien’, which will be released on September 2nd.

’Soms’ is an ode to self-doubt. During this song, De Toegift moves into the darkest point of the night, the morning seems far away. A state of loneliness and inner turmoil reshapes the outside world. Locked out and without keys, our protagonist lies numb in the grass of the backyard and the listener gets lost in his confused and melancholy state of mind. This feeling is slowly brought to a climax by the band, together with a nerve-racking collage of strings by violinist Hester Julia Voddé.
