‘Solitaire’, the second single of the upcoming debut album 'Dark Roses' by Donna Blue, is a French yé yé / film composer John Barry-inspired song about lovers at sea, heading towards an ominous storm. When the wind takes over, all they can do is surrender, whisper a prayer to the moon and wait for it to pass. In part it is a song about the apathy that can set in when too much bad news is coming your way.
